Bonnie’s House is pleased to announce their recent grant award from Entergy Texas.
The $5,000 grant will fund housing sponsorships to new, indigent Bonnie’s House residents who are seeking a sober living environment to transition into recovery. Bonnie’s House, a nonprofit organization located in Conroe, provides a supportive, sober living environment to assist alcohol or drug addicted men gain sobriety, rebuild their lives, and reintegrate into society as productive and responsible men.
This grant will allow Bonnie’s House to accept, house, and feed at least ten previously homeless residents in 2018 without the burden of paying their first month’s rent. This will allow the new resident to detox, focus on their recovery, and have additional time to secure suitable employment.
The grant comes through Entergy’s Charitable Foundation, which focuses on supporting initiatives that help create and sustain thriving communities. The Entergy Charitable Foundation has a special focus on low-income initiatives as well as educational and literacy programs.
